There was plenty of laughter and just a few tears as hundreds of people turned up to
support the Professionals Child Cancer Charity Breakfast and Art Auction today.
The auction is a popular annual event to raise money for the local branch of the Child
Cancer Foundation with fierce bidding over some of the 14 artworks drawn by local kids living with cancer.
Topping the stakes was 6-year-old Cory Josephs' Beads of Life artwork which went for $500 followed closely by Paige Maxwell's picture Mickey Mouse, My True Bead of Courage which was bought for $480.
The children's artwork alone raised more than $4500 and while the total raised wasn't yet available, organisers were hoping it would be about $20,000.
