Rotorua golfer Danny Lee has continued his fine run of form on the PGA Tour with a top-10 finish at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Texas.
He finished at nine-under par for the tournament which was good enough to give him a share of 10th place. The result is Lee's third top-25 finish in his last four starts. It is also his second best finish this season on the world's toughest golf tour. His best finish was a tied-third place in November at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba.
Lee shot rounds of 66, 69, 70 and a final round 66 yesterday morning to move into the top 10. He was only three shots back from the winner Chris Kirk (USA) who finished at 12-under. Heading into the tournament Lee was 56th on the FedEx Cup standings.
