Rotorua's Danny Lee fired a one-under 69 to sit in a share of 44th place at the Canadian Open on the PGA Tour. Fellow Kiwi Tim Wilkinson also made a steady start, the Manawatu left-hander carded a three under par 67 during the opening round at the Royal Montreal Golf Club's Blue Course yesterday to sit in a share of 16th place. Meanwhile, on the second-tier Web.com Tour, Hamilton's Steven Alker began the Midwest Classic in Kansas with a three-under 68 and is in a share of 21st place after the opening round. Masterton's Ben Campbell, making a rare start on the Web.com Tour, fired an even-par 71 to be in a tie for 75th.
