Young Rotorua musicians are set to take to the stage to help raise money to support others like themselves, while also honouring the memory of one of the peers.

A fundraiser concert, A Gift of Music, runs between 2pm and 4pm at Western Heights High School today showcasing the talents of young musicians including instrumentalists, singers, dancers, a choir and jazz band.

The concert will raise money for the Michael Pilaar Memorial Music Fund, which was set up to honour the memory of young classical musician Michael Pilaar as well as to help other young classical musicians achieve their goals.
