Leader and founder of The Opportunities Party Gareth Morgan said he would be "totally shagged" by the time he had finished all the stops on his campaign roadshow.

He made his third visit to Rotorua last night, hosting an hour and a half question and answer session at the Millenium Hotel.

When he wraps up the roadshow, he will have hosted 75 town hall meetings across the country.

More than 200 people had shown an interest in attending the evening and Mr Morgan said he never knew what they would ask.

"We get far bigger crowds than most politicians," he said.

"Whether they just like the jokes, I don't know."

Mr Morgan said he didn't give predetermined speeches, that he instead preferred people to ask him questions about The Opportunity Party's policies.

"We don't have the legacy of other parties," he said.

"We have to start again from scratch with people and usually they're quite engaged.

Last time he came to Rotorua he faced questions on immigration, cannabis, mental health and taxes.

Mr Morgan said by the end of the hour and a half he was sick of his own voice and just wanted to enjoy a beer.
