Gang members fighting in Fordlands street - reports

Rotorua police are in Fordlands tonight after reports of rival gang members fighting in the streets.

A police spokeswoman said police received reports about 6pm of fighting in the street at Bellingham Cres involving rival gang members.

"When officers arrived the group had dispersed.

"Police are keeping a presence in the area to monitor the situation and ensure public safety."

There had been no arrests at this stage, she said.
