A family fun day at Sunset Primary School has been hailed a success after $390 was raised for charity.
Hundreds of people turned out to the event on Saturday, featuring everything from bouncy castles to sausage sizzles, to raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation.
Organiser Sione Paea said he was blown away by the amount of interest in the event and the kindness shown by the Rotorua community.
"It was a great turnout and we had some really positive feedback. I just want to thank the people of Rotorua for their kindness and coming along and supporting such a worthwhile cause."
Labour candidate Tamati Coffey and former TV Rotorua presenter Alan Solomon were the MCs on the day, and National MP Todd McClay also made an appearance at the event.
