A 4-year-old boy who was seriously injured in a crash in Taupō is now a stable condition.
A Lakes District Health Board spokeswoman said a teenager and a small child were transferred to Rotorua hospital following the crash this morning.
A 4-year-old boy was in a stable condition in the Children's Unit, while a teenager was treated and discharged, she said.
Two others who were also in the same crash went to Taupō Hospital and were also treated and discharged, she said.
A police spokeswoman said emergency services went to the scene of the crash on Napier Rd just before 1am.
