The former Gilmours building has been leased to a new business, after sitting vacant for three months.
The Te Ngae St building has been empty since Gilmours Rotorua closed its doors in August.
Harcourts' Paul Sanford confirmed the building had been leased, but told the Rotorua Daily Post the identity of the new lease holders would not be revealed until all its staff had been notified.
Foodstuffs North Island announced the closure of the Gilmours Rotorua branch in June. A total of 27 staff were affected by the move.
The decision to close came after the company reviewed the store, deeming it unsuitable to be turned into a larger-format premises.
