The game snapped into life five minutes into the encounter when Phoenix striker Krishna chipped the goalkeeper from 25m.
Krishna found some space in the New Zealand half and had the audacity to try and chip the advancing Moss.
The nicely-timed strike sailed into the back of the net, leaving Moss stranded in no-man's land.
The New Zealand side had their first real chance on 14 minutes when Tyler Boyd whipped a fantastic ball across the six-yard box and Brockie tapped it home, only to be called offside.
Wellington Phoenix scored again a few minutes later when Alex Rufer, nephew of New Zealand legend Wynton Rufer, collected the ball in space in the opposition half.
He looked up and spotted Krishna making a run into the box and dinked a delightful ball over the last defender.
Krishna did well to take the ball down and he poked it past the advancing Moss to make it 2-0.
Brockie tried his best to reduce the margin, rocking the cross bar on 25 minutes after getting his head on the end of a good cross.
He would have another good chance three minutes later when New Zealand were awarded a penalty. Joshua Brindell-South chopped down Joel Stevens in the box to concede the penalty.
Brockie stepped up to take the spot kick but was denied by a fantastic save from Lewis Italiano, the back-up keeper at the Phoenix.
Boyd set up New Zealand's opening goal on the hour mark, attacking down the left wing before pulling the ball back to Brockie, who tapped home to make it 2-1.
McGlinchey scored the equaliser about 10 minutes later when he charged into the box and got a toe to the ball.
McGlinchey's side almost found a winner on 80 minutes, following a scramble in the box, but Phoenix just managed to clear. The game looked to be heading for a draw until the Phoenix made one final opportunity in injury time. They strung a handful of good passes together and found Krishna on the six-yard box who beat the keeper and defender to the ball.
