House sales in Rotorua for December have almost doubled compared to December 2014, according to the latest Real Estate Institute of New Zealand figures.
There were 130 sales this December compared to 149 in November, whereas in December last year there were 73 houses sold.
The results show the number of days it took to sell a house improved by two days, from 33 days in November to 31 days in December.
The number of days it took to sell a house last month improved by 10 days compared to December 2014.
