Her cats on show were an adult Norwegian Forest cat called Winston and a Norwegian Forest kitten called Humphrey.
Fowlie said it was a big crowd at the show, and it was great for people to come along and see the cats.
"It's nice to compete and it's great if they do well, as long as they enjoy it.
"And the company is nice. We always support each other."
She said it was a close-knit community, as it was many of the same people who entered the cat shows.
Her kitten, Humphrey, had done well, getting a 'Best in Show' and a third place.
Former president of New Zealand Cat Fancy, Ian Gray, was at the cat show with his Orange-Eyed White Persian called Dancing on Ice.
He said he had been breeding for 25 years.
Gray said one of the things he enjoyed about cat shows was that it was trying to improve the breed, and said that you also wanted a cat to be friendly, easily handled and playful.
