Anti-social and violent behaviour has prompted Rotorua MP Todd McClay to fight for the Rotorua courthouse to be moved out of the central business district. We asked our Facebook readers what they thought of the idea:

Layla Robinson: Great idea to take it next to the cop shop. Won't
need a vehicle to take them from the police cells to court either.
Kelly Stewart: Is it going to move the violence? No. Why not put it in the warehouse mall, theres enough violence there at the best of times.
Ellen Christiaans: Agree wth layla. Next to copshop just like hastings.lol.
Josh Te Kowhai: Wont stop all the violence where ever you go but it will deter a few if next to police station. Plus will always have police presence at all times.
Merete Hipp: Good idea!
Brendon Arkwright: Top idea!! I'm sure the fat dog would love nothing more than not having to look at that crap all day!!
Adrian Hodge: Would be great for tourists not to have to be around the scum either
Stacey Brell: Dumb idea... Spend all this money on a new court house and what for? A solution to a problem that probably wont even be solved.
