A colourful mural more than eight metres high is doing big things for Rotorua's city centre, its creators say.
Local artist Jacob Chrisohoou and an Auckland artist known as Jonny4higher have recently completed a mural on a three-storey building on the corner of Tutanekai and Pukuatua Sts.
The mural, depicting the iconic Pink and White Terraces and a large owl, was devised as part of Rotorua's Inner City Revitalisation programme, which aims to breathe life back into the heart of the city.
The artists completed the mural in six days, often spending up to nine hours a day painting the masterpiece.
Mr Chrisohoou said he was thrilled to see their hard work come together.
