Extra parking has been made available to help cater for the hundreds of people expected to attend a special one-hour vigil to reflect on the horrific Christchurch terror attacks.
Organisers are expecting a high turn out to the memorial at Rotorua's Lakefront today for the community to come together in support of the local Muslim community.
The Rotorua Lakes Council has opened up an area of the Lakefront reserve to use as parking to help accommodate for an influx of people expected to attend.
The carpark will be one-way in and out for those attending the vigil and will be open between 1pm and 4pm.
