Rotorua Musical Theatre's production of Evita has moved a step closer to opening now that the set, props and costumes have arrived in Rotorua.
Production manager Jen Minty said their arrival was an exciting time for everyone involved in Evita.
"We have spent the weekend unpacking and completing an inventory check of more than 300 costumes, including over 100 pairs of shoes and 97 hats, all of which will be used during Evita," Ms Minty said.
The Rotorua Musical Theatre is part of a consortium of amateur musical theatre societies that each put in money to share the costs of sets, props and costumes needed to put on productions.
The Evita equipment comes to Rotorua following the successful Auckland Music Theatre production recently produced at the Bruce Mason Centre.
