Criminals are scum, but there's a special place in Hell reserved for those who prey on the vulnerable.
We reported yesterday on the theft of cash and a raffle book from 80-year-old Vera Stewart who was raising money for the Cancer Society.
Mrs Stewart felt so bad about it she replaced the lost cash with her own money along with donations from other stall holders at the Soundshell Market.
But she's not the one who should be making amends.
Whoever was brazen enough to steal from those living with cancer should hang their head in shame. And then give the money back.
