It seems everyone - male and female - has some sort of interest in the fashion showcased at the royal wedding between Prince William and Catherine Middleton - now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
You only need to listen to workplace chatter to understand the impact the wedding, in particular the wedding dress, has had on everyone. In our newsroom, it's not only the women who have been wrapped up in conversations focused on the fashions worn at the April 29 nuptials, but the men are putting their few cents in too whether the topic be about Princess Beatrice's head-piece, the figure-hugging dress worn by the Duchess' sister Pippa and of course the one-and-only wedding gown worn by the beautiful bride.
One bloke was convinced no replica could feature the perfect hem or the button-detailing at the back of the original.
Whether you're a fan of the fairytale wedding or not, the wedding and the fashions have no doubt been one of the most popular topics of conversation over the last week.
So, it's no big surprise that a replica of the now famous dress worn by the Duchess of Cambridge has been created and is making its way around the country as part of a tour - with a stop in Rotorua yesterday afternoon.
The dress, created by New Zealand bridal wear designer Jane Yeh, was on display at Rotorua's Farmers store and many people wanted to get a royal experience of their own by taking a closer look.
Staff at the Rotorua store even had to bring it out for the public to see earlier than the planned 2pm time it was scheduled to be on display, given the interest it attracted.
Store manager John Porteous says the wedding dress replica visiting the store is the biggest event they have had since it opened. Not only did Rotorua shoppers get to enjoy a royal experience, they were also given the chance to win a royal experience holiday to London or a replica of the royal engagement ring. But, if you did like the look of the royal wedding dress, New Zealand Woman's Weekly will be giving away a replica from Jane Yeh.
