It's been quite some time since I've had to worry about exams but today that is exactly what thousands of Kiwi students are doing right now as the exam season gets under way.
More than 143,000 students are preparing for this year's NCEA and New Zealand scholarship examinations, held from today until December 4.
NCEA Level 1 English is this year's largest examination, with more than 46,000 candidates, and the smallest is New Zealand Scholarship Latin with 19 candidates.
The examination period includes 120 NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship examination sessions.
In my day, we weren't sitting NCEA, we were sitting School C, Sixth Form Cert and Bursary/University Entrant. Despite the differences, the goal was the same - to study and prepare for your exams, do well and pass.
