Rotorua's GLO Festival is all over for another year, and it's once again proven that locals will get out and support events that are well thought-out and family-friendly.
Especially when they're free.
Let's face it, Christmas is a busy and expensive time of the year and, by the time that's over, many families just don't have the money or energy for expensive New Year's entertainment.
Organisers say this year's festival, the third in its current guise, attracted the biggest crowd yet over the three days. With just one big event per day, it's not a jam-packed schedule, but it doesn't need to be.
It had it all - dragons on the big screen, a dancing boyband and, of course, the traditional fireworks.
