Many of us read The Diary of Anne Frank during our school years and we will never forget her story.
The German-born Jewish girl was hidden, along with her family, from the Germans in a secret annex in a house in Amsterdam during World War II.
The family were eventually discovered and Anne died in a concentration camp at the age of 16. In the preceding years she kept a diary, the importance of which she would never have comprehended at that age.
Her diary has become part of world history and it's quite a coup for Rotorua to be included in a worldwide tour of a special exhibition which re-tells the famous story of Anne Frank and her family.
The Rotorua Museum tells us the exhibition features many personal family photographs and a short documentary.
