Driver escapes injury after flipping car

The crash happened on the Tauranga Direct Rd this morning.

A driver has escaped injury after crashing into a bank, flipping the car.

The southbound car crashed at 6.45am on State Highway 36, about 20km from Rotorua.

The driver got out of the car and declined an ambulance, a police spokeswoman said.
