The amusement park ride that claimed the lives of four people, including a Kiwi, will be permanently closed.
Dreamworld today announced it will permanently close the Thunder River Rapids ride after Cindy Low, Roozbeh Araghi, Kate Goodchild and Luke Dorsett were killed in a horror accident two weeks ago.
Ardent Leisure chief executive officer and managing difector Deborah Thomas said the move to decomission it was out of respect for those who were killed and their bereaved families.
"The closure of the ride is the only respectful and appropriate course of action," said Thomas.
An independent expert engineering firm was now conducting an external review of all Dreamworld and Whitewater World rides.
