Crash near Waiotapu Tavern on State Highway 5

Police are at the scene of a two-car crash on State Highway 5.

Two cars have crashed on State Highway 5 near the Waiotapu Tavern.

A police spokeswoman said the crash did not appear to be serious but one person was reporting chest pains.

She said cars were able to pass the crash and no one was trapped.
