Head to Skyline Rotorua's Gravity mountain bike park tomorrow for a massive line up of Crankworx events all free for locals.

Rotorua residents with proof of address can experience the Crankworx action with a full day of free activities for the whole family.

Kidworx events designed for the mini shredders (12 and under) of Crankworx. Daily coaching skills, scavenger hunts and a specially made pump track are all part of the Kidsworx arena.

Air Downhill

Skilled mountain bikers race at break neck speeds down a steep and rough track on the side of Mount Ngongotaha to the finish line at Crankworx HQ. This year's Air Downhill track features 32 jumpable features making it a top-to-bottom 'whip' through the trees.
Key riders to watch:
Men: Bas Van Steenbergen (CAN), Sam Blenkinsop (NZ), George Brannigan (NZ), Bernard Kerr (GBR)
Women: Jill Kintner (USA), Anneke Beerten (NED), Caroline Buchanan (AUS), Casey Brown (CAN)

Oceania Whip-off Championships

One of Crankworx Rotorua's most anticipated events, the Oceania Whip-off Champs see the best riders from all over the world compete for the biggest air and the best style.
A 'whip' is when the rider hits a jump to get massive air and whips their bike 45 degrees to the side, bringing it back down into a straight line on the ground.

What you need:
To gain free access to the Crankworx Headquarters at Skyline Rotorua you will need proof of your current Rotorua address. This could include a power bill or bank statement.
Free parking for Crankworx is available at Rowi Street Reserve (accessed via Kea Street/Rowi Street).

Full locals' day schedule:
Kidworx Pimp My Ride 10am - 5pm
Tamariki Track 10am - 4pm
Tiki Tour Scavenger Hunt 10am - 1pm
National Schools Downhill Championships - midday
Crankworx Air Downhill 2pm
Oceania Whip-off Championships 5pm
