A screening of unused footage of Rotorua people and places featuring Rotorua's late historian, Don Stafford, is back by popular demand.
Initially shown at Ohinemutu in April to mark the fourth anniversary of the widely respected Rotorua man's passing, the hour-long film is to be shown free of charge at the U3A (University of the 3rd Age) public forum on June 18.
The film has been compiled by Dr Stafford's long-time cameraman, Kerry Fowler, who has entitled it Off The Cutting Room Floor.
As well as featuring local people and sites of historical significance around the Rotorua region, the film includes amusing out-takes that had to be cut from the films they related to.
"These caused a great deal of amusement when the film was shown at Ohinemutu and it's good to be able to show Don as the humourist he was as well as his more serious historian side." Mr Fowler said
