The carol singing will be led by one of the Howard Morrison Junior trio, Russell Harrison, accompanied by the Rotorua Symphonic Band, Rotorua's Pure Voice trio and singer-songwriter Rodger Cunningham.
Staff at Te Puia NZMACI would also be involved in the festive celebrations.
Te Puia general manager sales and marketing, Kiri Atkinson-Crean said the event is the last in a series of special 50 year celebrations held at Te Puia. "Christmas in the Pa festivities will be led from the steps of Te Aronui-a-Rua meeting house and celebrate whanau and whanaungatanga - and the importance of these concepts to individual and community wellbeing.
"A concert like this is built on community participation and that is an important part of what we are trying to portray - togetherness and celebration."
The programme included all the traditional and contemporary Christmas favourites, including hymns, rock-renditions and a special ukulele tribute.
Ms Atkinson-Crean said proceeds made from the night's door ticket sales will go directly to the Salvation Army foodbank, through the Rotorua Daily Post Annual Christmas Appeal.
"This is a way we can further focus on our community by helping families around us in need, at a time of year which can be a struggle for many."
Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic, with food stalls also available on site.
