Those interested in world affairs are being encouraged to go along and hear Helen Clark speak in Rotorua.
The former New Zealand prime minister is head of the United Nations Development Programme, the third-highest position in the UN. She oversees a budget of $5 billion and is responsible for programmes in 189 developing countries.
Tomorrow night from 7.30pm Ms Clark will be on stage at the Rotorua Convention Centre with MC mayor Steve Chadwick, talking about her work.
An Evening with Helen Clark has been organised by Rotorua Rotary Sunrise, with all proceeds going to fund youth projects in Rotorua.
The Rotary club's community director, Don Gollan, said more than 400 tickets had been sold for the event, but there were still plenty available.
