The weather wasn't always great but international DJ Carl Cox had a great time in Rotorua.
The DJ is in New Zealand as part of a promotional tour for motorbike company Ducati. The tour dubbed the Revolution Tour 2011 sees the DJ and five others touring the country on the bikes.
The group spent Monday and Tuesday in Rotorua and left the city yesterday.
Cox has been keeping his fans in the loop about what he has been doing on his official Facebook page.
On Wednesday morning Cox posted "penultimate ride of the tour today, Rotorua to Whitianga and the rain has stopped".
Several people commented on Cox's Facebook page warning him about the smell in Rotorua, and also advised him on what to do.
Destination Rotorua Tourism and Marketing posted, "Weather looking much better for your ride today. Glad you enjoyed your time here in Rotorua, anything else you need from us in future just shout!"
Destination Rotorua general manager Don Gunn said he didn't know the group were in Rotorua until he saw their comments on Facebook.
"We just wanted them to know we could help them with advice if they needed it," he said.
The group were spotted at Rotorua's Lone Star restaurant where they were described as friendly and polite.
They were also spotted at indoor attraction DriftKartz and bowling alley Strike Zone.
One fan posted on Cox's Facebook page: "Stoked to bump in to you today was a little surprised to meet you in Rotorua! Hope the rest of the trip goes good bet you had a real blast Ducati rule!! Hopefully catch you in a festival here sometime."
Cox also posted photos of his stay in Rotorua. The album, called Rotorua on a rainy day, has 29 photos of the group at different Rotorua attractions.
Cox's visit comes only a week after three groups of celebrities stayed in the geyser city.
Mystery surrounded their identities but American reality show star Kate Gosselin and her eight children were spotted at Rotorua airport.
