Car crashes into bank on SH38

Emergency services are on their way to a crash in the Kaingaroa Forest.

A police spokeswoman they were called at 12.30pm about a car that had crashed into a bank on State Highway 38.

The road is blocked.

A Northern Fire Communications spokesman said there were minor injuries and the fire service was on scene assisting.

A St John spokeswoman said one person has been transported to Rotorua hospital in a moderate condition.
