Blue Baths managing director Jo Romanes says the success of her latest show has prompted discussions to take shows to the big smoke of Auckland.
She said the last five weeks of the 2015 season of the Blue Baths Comedy Cabaret had seen standing ovations, full houses and rapturous applause, but even though the cabaret was reaching its end, exciting possibilities were on the horizon.
An Auckland-based critic, writing for Theatreview, said the show was "an amazing production: A professional, classy cabaret show which deserves recognition beyond Rotorua".
Mrs Romanes said while nothing had been confirmed, the exciting development could take place later this year and ideas were also being tossed around about a nationwide tour.
Blue Baths musical director Darlene Mohekey it was "great to be recognised and appreciated for what we can do".
