A Rotorua real estate agent is heading to England to fly the flag for the city at two large migration expos.
Bayleys Rotorua manager Beth Millard is one of about six Bayleys agents from around New Zealand who will attend the two-day Working International Expos in London this weekend and Manchester the following weekend.
Their job will be to promote New Zealand to British and European professionals looking for a new life abroad, as well as Kiwi expats considering a move back home. Fellow exhibitors will include recruitment companies, employers, immigration experts, banks and government departments from New Zealand, Australia and Canada.
Ms Millard said Bayleys had been attending the expo for years, but this year they would have a stronger focus on attracting people to cities such as Rotorua, rather than focusing on Auckland.
"I am there to promote provincial living in New Zealand, all the benefits, the affordability, great housing, [being] close to everything," she said. "I am taking my Rotorua soapbox."
