Exhibition fight featuring Rotorua boxer Maea Hay

Rotorua Central Boxing Club held their annual tournament on Saturday with fighters from all over the North Island taking part.

Rotorua fighters Maea Hay (pictured in red), Kevin Hay, Matthew Fraser and Roimata Ransfield took part and there were 20 bouts on the card.

Event organiser Rex Jenkins said it was a good tournament, staged at Waikite Rugby Club, and the fight of the night was the bout between two teenagers Zeb Ellis (Hamilton) and Jayden Downs (Auckland) won by Ellis.
