The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was sent to Turangi early this morning after a 72-year-old local man suffered a serious medical event.
He was stabilised by paramedics before being airlifted to Rotorua Hospital for further treatment.
Night vision equipment was used for the mission.
Later today, the BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was tasked by Rotorua Hospital to transfer a 3-year-old Taupō boy to Waikato Hospital for a further medical assessment and specialist care.
