A Rotorua business, which was the New Zealand headquarters of an Australian firm, has been closed down.
Ampcontrol head office cited "inadequate operating performance" among the reasons why Ampcontrol on Riri St has shut.
A spokeswoman said there had been five jobs already affected with another four to go when the business closes.
Ampcontrol is Australia's largest privately-owned electrical engineering and manufacturing company providing solutions to the mining, industrial and tunnelling sectors.
In a statement to the Rotorua Daily Post a company spokeswoman said Ampcontrol provided electronic and power quality products to the New Zealand market.
