Roughly $90,000 worth of methamphetamine was found by Rotorua police during a random car search at the weekend.
Rotorua police area prevention manager Inspector Brendon Keenan said two road policing officers stopped to talk to the driver of a vehicle in Rotorua's CBD on Saturday.
The officers then searched the vehicle, finding 90 grams of meth, which has a street value of about $90,000.
Keenan said it was "quite a random catch" and showed good work from the road policing team.
