Specialising in premium magazine features across fashion, design, arts and culture, Dan Ahwa's work combines both writing and visual storytelling, producing photoshoots and helping mentor and amplify the work of some of New Zealand's leading creative talent. After returning to New Zealand in 2003 after three years living and working in Nottingham, UK, he completed an Art History and Media Studies degree from Auckland University, graduating in 2008. In 2019, he co-curated the travelling and online exhibition Moana Currents: Dressing Aotearoa Now with NZFM founder and director Doris De Pont. He was previously the editor of fashion trade publication Apparel Magazine.
