Fresh off a nail-biting 43-40 win over the Hurricanes, the Gallagher Chiefs are getting ready to take on Moana Pasifika.
Several Gallagher Chiefs’ All Blacks representatives, including Damian McKenzie, Cortez Ratima and Tupou Vaa’i, return to the starting line-up for what will be the second and final pre-season match in Pukekohe on Saturday.
Emoni Narawa, Kaleb Trask, Jacob Norris, Samipeni Finau, Quinn Tupaea, Anton Lienert-Brown, Manaaki Boyle-Tiatia and Malachi Wrampling are also expected to see their first action of the year.
Unlike last week’s game, this one will be played across two 40-minute halves.
The game serves as the final hit-out before the Chiefs open their DHL Super Rugby Pacific campaign against the Blues on February 15 at Eden Park.
