Last week for Asthma achiever's award nominations

The 2017 winner Richard Bragg, Southwell School. Inaugural winner Jack Ratai, Deanwell School and 2016 winner Tia Whaanga Te Totara Primary School, with the Leigh and Betty Dunbar Trophy.

Nominations for this years's Asthma Young Achievers Award close on Friday August 10.

The award, in its fourth year, acknowledges Hamilton primary and intermediate-aged children who despite a respiratory condition do well in any sphere — academic, sport, social or community activities.

Nominations for the 2018 award have come from students of various backgrounds but all share asthma or a respiratory condition.

Thanks to a bequest from Leigh and Betty Dunbar, the Waikato Asthma and Respiratory
Trust offers an annual prize of a $200 voucher and keepsake trophy to the winner, while the student's school receives the Leigh and Betty Dunbar Young Asthma Achievers Trophy.
