Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating two people involved in an alleged aggravated robbery in the east of the city on Wednesday.
Police received a complaint from a man in relation to an incident at the Five Crossroads shops on Peachgrove Road about 2.45pm.
The 34-year-old victim parked his van next to another car and as he was opening his door and reaching under his seat to get his wallet he felt a blow to the back of his head which stunned him and left him on the ground.
His wallet was taken and the victim recalls seeing what he believes were two Maori males running south from the shops, towards Fifth Ave.
Hamilton CIB Detective Stuart McIntyre is appealing for any witnesses to the attack or for information regarding suspicious activity or persons in the area around this time.
