In the women's premier league Wanderers played out a thrilling game with Glenfield Rovers losing 5-4 in Auckland.
Wanderers took the lead early through Kelli Brown, however Dayna Stevens equalised several minutes after.
The game then turned in Glenfield's favour and forced an own goal from Wanderers defender Grace Cox giving them a 2-1 lead.
Cox then tried to make amends by embarking on a 50 yard run with the ball before having her shot saved.
Grace Wisnewski tied the game up at 2-2 with a shot from 30m out which rattled off the crossbar before crossing the goal line.
Claudia Bunge then gave Glenfield the lead again three minutes later, before Kate Loye scored again for the Auckland side.
Wisnewski then scored another long range effort to bring the game back to 4-3, but Glenfield scored again through Stevens.
It was a nervous final five minutes for Glenfield as Shae Brady headered the ball into the net for Wanderers making the game 5-4, but the Hamilton side could not find the final goal to level the game.
Across Auckland, Claudelands Rovers women's side lost 3-0 to Three Kings United.
