At last Saturday’s Christmas parade, Te Awamutu Rotary Club celebrated the largest number of float entries since it started running the annual event.
The event is held in partnership with Waikato Construction Management Ltd (WCML) and Coresteel Waikato, with support from Waipā District Council and Te Awamutu-Kihikihi Community Board.
This year’s theme was “It’s A White Christmas”.
The team at WCML reported they were proud of the partnership with Te Awamutu Rotary to bring this event to the community.
They are looking forward to the 2025 parade and announced the theme would be “Christmas Movies”.
Organising committee chairman Chris Kay said the Te Awamutu Rotary Christmas Parade was run entirely by volunteers who enjoyed helping spread the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill to the community.
“Te Awamutu Rotary is grateful for the support it receives from local businesses and organisations to make the event a popular and successful one, including Waipā Networks, Te Awamutu Community Cadets, Subway, McDonald’s, Devoy Signs and Graphics, NZME, Wilks Penny Motorcycles, Te Awamutu Lions, and many more,” he said.
He congratulated everyone who took part, especially the winners.
