Applications are invited for Hamilton's inaugural annual Performing Arts Contestable Fund.
The $100,000 fund supports projects that contribute to the development of sustainable performing arts programmes and audience growth and enhance the skills of performing arts organisations or practitioners in Hamilton.
It will be allocated by a committee comprising a Hamilton City councillor and five members of the public.
Cr Pippa Mahood, a member of the Creative Communities Working Group, says the fund encourages applications from performing arts projects in Hamilton, such as live performances of theatre, music and dance.
"The fund committee is keen to support projects that are designed to be ongoing and eventually become self-supporting, have clear auditing components and engage with and develop culturally diverse audiences," she says.
