New Zealand sailors Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie have climbed to seventh after day two in the women's competition at the world 470 championships in Denmark.
Five races have been sailed with one more day of qualifying before four days of finals racing.
Running in this Olympic class for the first time this year, Aleh and Powrie have scored two wins from five races.
The pair have 16 points, one behind Spain, Japan and Britain who are tied for fourth.
The Netherlands, on seven points, are the current leaders followed by another British crew and Australia who are on 14.
In the men's fleet, the New Zealand pairs, Paul Snow-Hansen and Jason Saunders, are currently in 17th place and Geoff Woolley and Mark Overington in 20th.
