Condolences sent to Auckland's sister cities in Japan

Auckland Mayor Len Brown says condolence messages have been sent to Auckland's sister cities in Japan.

Auckland has relationships with Fukuoka, Shinagawa, Tomioka, Kakogawa, Utsunomiya, Furudono and Hara-mura.

Tomioka is one of the worst affected areas being only 10 kilometres from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
