Weathergirl Toni Marsh is leaving TV3 to have a baby, the network has announced.
Her last night on air will be Tuesday, December 30, but tonight will be the last time she works with her 3 News colleagues Mike McRoberts, Hilary Barry and John Campbell.
In a press release from the network, Ms Marsh, who has been with TV3 for 10 years, said: "I'm sad to be leaving such an amazing group of people, who are not only colleagues, but dear friends.
"But I am both extremely excited and just a little bit nervous about what will obviously be the biggest change in my life."
Ms Marsh married longtime beau Paul Gunn in October.
She began on TV3 as a newsbreak presenter in 2000 and took on the weather presenting role in 2002.
In the press release, TV3's news boss Mark Jennings said Toni was "a hugely popular presenter".
"I often have members of the public asking me about her. I have to be honest and say the majority are probably men, but she is universally popular," he said.
"If the news is a bit depressing, Toni somehow always manages to bring a smile to back to your face at the end of the programme. We will miss her and I am sure viewers will too."
Josh Heslop, who was roving reporter on the now defunct Sunrise, and Mike Hall, who currently presents the weather when Ms Marsh is not on, will share the weather presenting role in the interim.
