MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) Jarryd Roughead kicked five goals but was reported for tripping as Hawthorn beat Melbourne 17.13 (115) to 9.11 (65) to move atop the table on percentage after the weekend's 20th round of the Australian Football League.
Roughead took his goal tally for the season to 55, improving his chances of defending his Coleman Medal, but may miss next Sunday's Grand Final rematch against Fremantle after a second quarter tussle with Dom Tyson. Roughead already has 64 carryover demerits from a one-match suspension earlier this season.
Ben McGlynn kicked three goals and had 21 touches as Sydney beat Port Adelaide 12.12 (84) to 7.16 (58) and Geelong edged Fremantle 12.9 (81) to 11.13 (79) to stay level with Hawthorn on 60 points.
Geelong held on to beat the Dockers when David Mundy's 50-meter shot after the final siren drifted wide.
