LONDON (AP) The Davis Cup's oldest rivalry will be reignited next year after the United States was drawn at home to Britain on Wednesday.
The teams met in the first ever Davis Cup tie in 1900, with the Americans going on to win the event a record 32 times.
The draw in London also raised the prospect of Roger Federer taking on top-ranked Novak Djokovic after Switzerland was paired with Serbia, which will play the defending champion Czech Republic in the 2013 final in Belgrade on Nov. 15-17.
Federer, though, hasn't played in the Davis Cup since Switzerland's first-round loss to the U.S. in February 2012 and has given no indication he is ready to return to national team duty.
The Czechs, who were the top seeds, will host the Netherlands.
