Neal Parlane and Anaru Kitchen put on 222 for the third wicket as Auckland set Otago a mammoth total to earn a spot in the Ford Trophy final.
The Aces finished 337 for three from their 50 overs with Parlane (117) and Kitchen (110 not out) both bringing up centuries at Colin Maiden Park.
Openers Brad Cachopa (41) and Jeet Raval (52) got Auckland off to a fine start putting on 82 for the first wicket. However both fell before Auckland reached 100, bringing Parlane and Kitchen to the crease and the duo batted for 27 overs taking the score to 321.
Jimmy Neesham, Nick Beard and Ian Butler all picked up wickets for Otago while Neil Wagner went 0-74 from his 10 overs.
The winner of today's game will face Central in the final at Pukekura Park on Sunday.
