Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori hopes time will have healed all wounds by the time Pakistan's due to tour New Zealand at the end of the year.
There's been question marks over the reception Pakistan will receive following their scandal-hit tour of England.
Vettori says so much can happen before Pakistan arrive in New Zealand in December.
He says they're very hopeful that by the time Pakistan are in the country, every cricketing fan doesn't have any issues about the sport.
Vettori is well rested after skipping the recent tri-series in Sri Lanka.
He says it's been nice to spend the winter at home and it's re-ignited his passion to do well for the team.
The Black Caps leave New Zealand today for a five-match one-day series in Bangladesh.
